With its subsidiary Phone Recycle Production, Entreprise Sociale et Solidaire, Phone Recycle Solution has become in less than 5 years, the European leader in refurbished telephones, particularly smartphones. 1 out of 3 telephones in France has been refurbished by Phone Recycle Production.
Phone Recycle Production is a social and solidarity company, that is to say that it adheres to the values of the Social
and Solidarity Economy (ESS).
Its internal functioning and its activities are based on a principle of solidarity and social utility. On the one hand, its
reconditioning activity is useful for society as a whole.
On the other hand, we have opted for a democratic and participatory mode of management. Finally, the results are
reinvested in order to constantly improve our production chain.
A refurbished iPhone is not new, it is refurbished. That is, it has already served once and its former owner has parted with it. This is where Phone Recycle Solution comes in.
We buy back these used phones. They enter our production line, located in our reconditioning workshops in Paris 18th. They are graded, tested on 53 control points, reset, the battery is replaced by a new one in 85% of cases, then they are cleaned, disinfected and packed in new packaging with new accessories. They are then ready for a new life!
At this stage, the used phones stages are sorted according to their cosmetic condition. There are 3 levels of grade: very good condition, good condition and fair. The grading concerns only the aesthetics of the device and not its functionality. Whatever the grade assigned to it, the device works 100%.
A phone refurbished by Phone Recycle Production undergoes tests on 53 checkpoints: touch, software, battery life, microphone, IMEI verification... This step is carried out either manually or using very powerful software which notably guarantees data overwriting and a hard reset.
The phones that Phone Recycle Production buys back for reconditioning are carefully selected to be able to restore them with their original parts and not to subject them to major transformation or reconstruction. Only the battery is automatically replaced by a new one at less than 85% of its capacity.

Last step, a tempered glass and a shell are placed on the phone. It is then placed in new eco-designed packaging with recycled materials, along with its instructions for use and warranty. It comes with a new Lightning cable.
